Here’s another soundtrack sounding thing I barfed out the other day. This sounds more like the background music to a commercial than a movie. If anyone talks to Nike, give ‘em my number.

I went to Guitar Center this past weekend in search of a new acoustic guitar. I’ve been extremely displeased with the way it’s been sounding lately. Mostly with the way it’s been sounding when recorded. I played countless guitars costing twice as much as mine and wasn’t really impressed with any of them. Sorry Mr. Martin. I decided to just stick with my Tacoma.
So today I was doing some more recording with the Tacoma and was getting really frustrated again with how lame it was sounding. I went to make some adjustments on the pre-amp I was using and discovered that one of the switches that changes the entire sound of the pre-amp had gotten moved. That switch can totally screw up the whole EQ curve of the amp. I put it back where it was supposed to be and Voila! my guitar was brought back from the dead. There’s no telling how long it had been that way. I’ve been unhappy with my acoustic for months.
I’m sure glad I didn’t spend a month’s income on a new guitar. They really should stop putting switches on pre-amps.
